With the summer season officially over on the white isle, we thought it would only be fitting to choose our three favourite spots for grabbing a cocktail and wile away the long, hot Mediterranean summer evenings.
Anywhere touting the benefits the absinthe gets a big thumbs up from us. This French canteen style cocktail bar only opened in 2012 and is seen as the perfect sunset bar post siesta. Serving up French street cuisine like their famous frites are a posh alternative to scrambling for any old restaurant serving chips on the side. The only cocktail is get is the Green Beast. We’ve never seen a group drink served inside a birdcage before.
A great place to lounge as the sun goes down, or use a meetup spot before a big night out, the Bey Bar has cocktails that are abound with freshness. Get any fruit cocktail when you’re here. There’s something about the blended daiquiris that make them taste someone plucked the fruit just a few moments ago.
Cafe Del Mar
This is the kind of bar you have to make time for. Seen as the no.1 spot in plenty of travel guides, Cafe Del Mar is the best bar/restaurant on the sunset strip. It’s a staple of the island and with it we recommend getting a cocktail classic. Their mojitos are too good to give your friend a small sip of.
